About The Artist's Music

Lachi just released new, haunting Dance Pop track Out of the Dark featuring Medusa!

Artist and Track Spotlight - Lachi | Fidget

Lachi’s “Fidget” is one of those rare songs that manages to be entertaining, educational and commercially polished all at the same time. Written as the lead single from the upcoming album Magnificent, the track celebrates neurodiversity by reframing fidgeting and stimming as strengths rather than distractions.

What impressed me most is how naturally the message sits inside a genuinely brilliant pop song. This never feels like a lesson disguised as music. Instead, it delivers infectious hooks, modern production and vibrant energy that happens to carry an important message alongside it. The production is crisp, colourful and radio ready, with punchy drums, polished vocals and countless little musical details that keep the listener engaged from beginning to end.

As someone who has spent years writing music for family audiences, I particularly admire the way Lachi refuses to underestimate younger listeners. Great children’s music should simply be great music, and “Fidget” absolutely achieves that.

About The Artist's Music

“A high-octane stadium anthem produced by Japanese dance music legend ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo) for the Japan National Football Team. “

Artist and Track Spotlight - JI BLUE | 景色

Football has produced some unforgettable anthems over the years, but JI BLUE’s “景色” genuinely deserves to sit alongside many of them.

Produced by Japanese dance music legend ☆Taku Takahashi, this track captures everything that makes major sporting occasions so memorable. Huge guitars, soaring vocals and an arrangement packed with momentum create an atmosphere that feels built for stadiums full of supporters.

The arrangement constantly builds without becoming overwhelming, allowing every chorus to feel even bigger than the last. There is genuine excitement running through every section, while the vocal performances bring emotion and conviction that elevate the entire production.

Even if football is not your passion, this is simply an outstanding example of modern pop rock production done exceptionally well.

Artist and Track Spotlight - Cilla Tides | CATEYES

If moody atmopherics and edgy textures is your thing you’ll love Cilla Tides new track CATEYES.

Returning after previously sharing music with me, Cilla Tides continues to evolve with another beautifully crafted release.

“CATEYES” explores obsession, emotional manipulation and the tendency to romanticise emotional chaos over genuine connection. Rather than simply telling the story lyrically, the production reinforces every emotional twist through cinematic textures, powerful drums, atmospheric guitars and a compelling vocal performance.

One of the standout achievements here is the arrangement. Running for just over two and a half minutes, the song never wastes a moment. Every section serves a purpose, continually building tension before delivering an ending that genuinely encourages another listen.

It is incredibly difficult to finish a song in a way that leaves listeners wanting more. Cilla Tides absolutely understands how to do that.

Bonus Track - Dax

About The Artist's Music

Dax is an independent artist known for blending rap, spoken word and melodic elements to explore deeply personal and reflective themes. His work often draws from lived experience, focusing on mental health, identity and emotional resilience. Across his releases he has built a reputation for honesty and direct storytelling, creating music that feels personal while still connecting with a wider audience.

Artist and Track Spotlight - Cilla Tides | CATEYES

God, Can You Hear Me? stands as one of his most vulnerable and intentional pieces to date. Built around a long developing writing process that began in 2023 and came together in 2026, the track carries a sense of patience and emotional weight that mirrors its subject matter. It moves between reflection and intensity in a way that feels lived in rather than constructed, with a strong focus on lyrical clarity and emotional delivery. The combination of piano led atmosphere and vocal expression creates a cinematic feel that gives the message space to land.

My Curator Notes

Listening across these three releases reminded me why independent music continues to surprise me. None of these artists are chasing exactly the same sound, yet each has developed a clear creative identity. That individuality is often what separates memorable artists from those simply following current trends.

Another common thread is confidence in the songwriting. Great production certainly helps, but every one of these tracks would still work if stripped back to their core musical ideas. Strong melodies, thoughtful arrangements and emotional honesty remain the foundation of lasting music regardless of genre.

I also think each artist demonstrates an important lesson about writing with purpose. Lachi uses music to celebrate inclusion, JI BLUE channels collective energy into an anthem that inspires belief, while Cilla Tides explores emotional complexity through rich storytelling. The production styles may differ dramatically, but all three understand that listeners connect with songs because they feel something.

Artist Takeaways and Mentor Insight

One lesson emerging artists can take from these releases is that originality rarely comes from inventing entirely new sounds. More often, it comes from presenting familiar musical ideas through your own perspective. Every artist featured here builds on existing pop traditions while adding their own creative identity.

Arrangement is another area worth studying. Notice how each song keeps moving forward. There are no unnecessary sections, no repetitive moments simply filling time. Every chorus earns its place because the verses create anticipation beforehand. Learning to remove rather than add is often one of the biggest steps towards stronger songwriting.

Production also deserves careful attention. These tracks demonstrate that clarity wins every time. The mixes feel balanced because every instrument has space to breathe. Before adding another synth, guitar or vocal harmony, ask whether it genuinely improves the song or simply makes the arrangement busier.

Finally, remember that releasing music is only part of the journey. Think beyond the streaming platforms. Build content around your songs, engage your audience consistently, explore playlist opportunities, investigate sync licensing where appropriate and treat every release like the beginning of a wider conversation with listeners.
